Palm Beach County Thoroughfare Beautification Grant - for State Roads

Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc., (KPBCB),
is releasing a supplemental Request for Proposal (RFP) for the PALM BEACH COUNTY
THOROUGHFARE BEAUTIFICATION GRANT program for 2009 to enhance the appearance of state thoroughfares. The Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO) has designated KPBCB as program coordinator to facilitate and
administer the grant application process. The
attached application package has been developed in order to solicit, review, and recommend
projects for grant funding to the MPO. A total of $339,000 will be available for this grant program. Please
be aware that this is a competitive grant process.
Keep
Palm Beach County Beautiful Inc., (KPBCB), is seeking applications from municipalities and
other government entities interested in applying for matching funds to implement roadway
beautification projects. If you are
considering a project which meets the evaluation criteria and requirements herein, please
complete and submit one (1) original and seven (7)
copies of the completed Application Form, including supplemental documents, to
be received by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2008. The office will be closed after 3:00
p.m. (Late, faxed, or e-mailed applications will be
ineligible.) KPBCB reserves the right to
request additional information at any time.

careful review of the entire application package, potential applicants are encouraged to
bring their questions to a Pre-Application Informational Meeting to be held on Thursday,
March 6 at 9:00 a.m. The
meeting will be held in the 3rd floor conference room of the Palm Beach County Engineering
Dept., located at 2300 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach. Please note that the meeting is
not mandatory and in no way affects the Applicants project evaluation. Potential applicants may also call Lourdes Ferris,
